Red Wolf Sound was founded in 2009 by Sean Flynn and Zach Tucker. The company has grown quickly since then, and is now well known throughout the greater Lyons Area. Red Wolf Sound has been hired for a wide variety of events including weddings, dances, parties, festivals, concerts, and meetings. With a professional grade sound system, Red Wolf Sound can provide for almost any event.
About Sean Flynn:
I have been playing music since I was young and have continued my passion for music by focusing on sound engineering. Ed Kean took Zach and I under his wing and taught us everything he knew about sound at Planet Bluegrass. I am currently working as a sound assistant and stage hand at the Fox Theater and Boulder Theater as well as working as a member of the production team at Planet Bluegrass in Lyons CO. At Planet Bluegrass, we produce the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Rockygrass Festival, as well as the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival. When I'm not playing music or mixing, I'm studying Broadcast Production and Computer Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I look forward to working with you and putting my passion and experience to use to help produce the best sounding show/event possible. Email me if you have any questions or would like to talk about a gig!
About Zach Tucker:
I have had the privilege to live in Lyons, Colorado for my entire life. Growing up in this little town has had many positive effects on me one of which is being constantly surrounded by music. I started playing the mandolin when I was 11 years old, and became exposed to Lyons music scene. I learned a lot from local musicians at jam sessions, my instructors, and the professional musicians that teach at the annual Rockygrass Academy. I also met Sean through playing the mandolin, and we practiced, played shows, and took part in the Rockygrass Academy together. After doing the Rockygrass Academy for several years, I began helping Ed Kean, who does sound for the academy shows, with different sound related tasks. I also took some sound classes from Philip Zanon, the sound man for the Kruger Brothers. This helped me become more and more interested in the art of sound and I continued to help Ed do sound at festivals and concerts. Ed taught me the ins and outs of sound and what it took to put on a great show. As I obtained more and more knowledge about sound I teamed up with Sean, who was also training with Ed, and we decided to begin building a sound system of our own. We started small, but as the need for sound in Lyons grew, so did our sound system. We formed the company Red Wolf Sound, and now have a professional grade sound system. We continue to work with Ed at Planet Bluegrass whenever we can and do sound for events on our own. This business has been and continues to be an amazing experience and lots of fun.
